Menlo Men's Tennis Makes Program History with FIrst Ever PacWest and NCAA Division II Victory

ATHERTON, CA – This past weekend, history was made as Menlo Men's Tennis program secured their first -ever PacWest victory and their first win in NCAA Division II in a hard-fought matchup against Westmont. The team's resilience and determination were on full display as the Oaks would display a dominate doubles performance and clutch singles wins to secure the milestone victory.

Doubles Trouble
In doubles play, Cody Ray Emery and Robin Mcalpine set the tone for the day with a 6-4 win in the first match, followed by another commanding victory from Asger Emil and Tanguy Calicis with a score of 6-2 to take the first point.

Battling in Singles
The Oaks were able to cap off the day by winning 3 more matches to clinch the history win. After dropping the first two singles matches, the Oaks were able to rally back starting with Asger Emil earning a 7-6 and a 6-2 victory to get another point to the board. Tanguy Calicis also went to earn another point and his match scored ended 7-6 and 7-5. Henry Riccioni-Brown capped off the night with an impressive three-set victory, 7-5, 5-7, and 6-4 to help the Oaks make program history.
