Menlo Men’s Golf Late Run Falls Just Short in West Coast Classic Finale

2/11/2025 6:25:00 PM

Riverside, CA - In the final round of the West Coast Classic at Victoria Golf Club in Riverside, CA; the Oaks went on a late run but fell just short.  It was a tremendous effort from the boys and they left it all out on the course today.

Nicolas-Guy Landry Goes Low
Senior Nicolas-Guy Landry, residing from Quebec, Canada, played a beautiful round of golf today.  Landry capped off the final round with a score of 69.  The three under round for him came with the support of five total birdies logged on his scorecard.  However, the cherry on top came on the 556 yard par five at the fourth hole.  Landry bombed a drive left of the fairway that left him 277 yards out from the green.  Landry proceeded to hit a 3 wood that put him on the green with an eight foot putt for eagle.  When on the green, Landry played the putt just outside of the hole that dropped dead center of the cup for eagle.  A beautiful end over end roll of the ball from Landry had him enthusiastic.  Landry finished off the tournament with a score of two over par taking seventh place in the field.

Assistant Coach Ryan Stefko had this to say, "This week had a lot of good and some things we clearly need to tune up on.  I am looking forward to the next couple weeks of practice because we know these are quick adjustments and we'll be ready to go for the PCH.  I'm excited!"
