Menlo Invitational Results
ATHERTON, CA – All 12 members of Oaks Women's Tennis tasted victory over the course of the two-day Menlo Invitational as six different competitors boasted undefeated records across singles and doubles actions in contribution to the team's 23 total wins out at Cartan Tennis Courts on Friday and Saturday.
"We're really proud of our team," said Director of Tennis
Ben Cabell. "They performed very well. A lot of players had good matches and everyone picked up some wins which was great. We feel like the depth of our team has really showed up and will help us a lot going into the season."
Six Oaks Combine For 9-0 Singles Record
Splitting 15 total singles wins across the two days on their home courts, Menlo logged five wins against Stanislaus State including a trio of dramatic tiebreaker victories for junior
Zofia Dziewiecka (1-6, 6-3, 10-8), junior
Livia Harper (1-6, 6-4, 10-7), and freshman
Gloria Jovic (6-3, 3-6, 10-5). Meanwhile, sophomore
Angel Cody collected her first win in a Menlo uniform on the first day, surrendering just one game to her American River opponent.
Emerging from a hard-fought series of singles pairings with Dominican on day two was Dziewiecka, who bested the Penguins' Kaylee Lopez 6-2, 6-4, and junior
Polya Nikolova, who outlasted Maria Gavrilov 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 in a tiebreaker. Those victories gave way to six more against American River with the Oaks' highlights including five in straight sets, a 7-5, 6-0 first Menlo triumph for junior
Karen Saucedo, as well as a gutsy extended 2-6, 6-4, 10-4 win for junior
Nia Macay to end the afternoon.
Menlo Goes 8-1 In Doubles Play
The Oaks yielded just one doubles matchup on Friday as Harper and Dziewiecka joined Macay and Jovic in topping their Dominican opponents by 6-3 scores then just two games allowed in total to American River with Saucedo and freshman
Bianca Tatu, Allen and freshman
Tumi Kgosiemang, and junior
Carlotta Stern and sophomore
Ombeline Robilliart all earning victories.
Menlo signed off on a perfect Saturday in terms of doubles with Harper and Dziewiecka returning to better Stan State's Emma Yu and Abbigail Mulick 6-3, Nikolova and Kgosiemang outplaying Parker Orlando & Kat Damkjær 6-2, and Jovic combining with Macay for a 6-1 decision over Emi Mikami and Maiah White.

With the completion of this tournament, Menlo concludes its 2025-26 fall season, setting up a return to action on Feb. 7 when the Oaks host Fresno Pacific to begin the spring.
