Kim Penzold in fourth of 82 golfers to open the East Bay Fall Tournament.
Penzold Just Off Three-Way Tie For First Place
Three birdies and one eagle highlighted Penzold's first round on Monday as she logged a top 10 result with a 3-over-par 75 then proceeded to rise to fourth overall with yet another eagle on Hole 16. Plenty of pars came for freshman
Ester Otiepkova in the opening round as she posted 13 in total toward her 8-over-par 80 and top 30 placement through the first day of action.
The other top two Oaks qualifiers thus far are junior
Julia Torrez and senior
Angelina Pohahau in 54th and 56th respectively. Out of a collection of four individuals, freshman
Laura Goertzen remains the leader for Menlo in 71st overall.
