Dennis Rose Intercollegiate Results (Round 1)

WAIKOLOA VILLAGE, HI – Monday's first round of the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate out at Waikoloa Beach Resort Golf had freshman Kim Penzold leading the way for ninth place Menlo Women's Golf as she began just one stroke from the top 10 of a nearly 50-golfer field.

Penzold Just Outside Top 10 After One Round
The first four holes were a bit of a rollercoaster for Penzold who ended up delivering two birdies in that span. She finished the round solidly by parring her last seven holes en route to a 7-over-par 77 good for 11th place. Currently next up for the Oaks is junior Julia Torrez who finds herself in 38th overall with a 14-over-par 84 in 38th place while freshman Ester Otiepkova's 15-over-par 85 has her 40th and sophomore Kayla Lancaster can be found 44th after a 20-over-par 90.

The Dennis Rose Intercollegiate will finish up with one final round tomorrow beginning at 10:10 a.m. PT (7:10 a.m. HT).
