KOHALA COAST, HI – A strong 36 holes from junior
Cole Kroeker has helped Menlo Men's Golf into a tie for sixth through the first day of action in the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate at the Mauna Lani Resort Golf Club North Course on Monday.
Kroeker Ends Up Even
A trio of Oaks were tied as the team leaders through the opening round as Kroeker, graduate student
Jack Stark, and senior
Tej Gangavarapu all turned in 2-over-par 74 scores with multiple birdies to share 16th overall. Kroeker would follow that up with a team-best five birdies in the second round (four in the front nine) for a 2-under-par 70, ending the day at an even-par 72 in eighth place of 59 golfers. Stark and Gangavarapu were next, delivering 3-over-par 75 and 8-over-par 80 respective scores for 19th and 39th respectively while freshmanÂ
QiFeng "Adam" Tong improved from round to round with a 12-over-par 156 good for the 46th spot.

Tomorrow, Menlo returns to Mauna Lani Resort Golf Club for the third and final round of the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate beginning at 10:30 a.m. PT (7:30 a.m. HT).
