Atherton, CA-Menlo Women's Tennis celebrated senior day to recognize some of the women who have helped usher in a successful new era of Menlo Tennis! It was fitting that the team won the day in a 7-0 sweep including their eighth straight victory.
OUAZ Unable to Keep Pace with the Oaks
The doubles portion of the day was quickly won in the Oaks favor with OUAZ dropping the decisive match against the pair of Franziska Niederle and Angelika Sidorov pulling out a 6-4 win. Once the singles matches began Andrea Vlasceanu took over the day with an impressive shutout victory winning in two sets by a final score of 12-0! The senior pair of Niederle and Valentina Urelli Rinaldi would also win their matches in convincing fashion. Niederle would win 6-2 in her first set before wrapping things up with a 6-3 win during round two. Rinaldi was equally effective, winning set one 6-2 before finishing up her match with a 6-4 victory. To round out Menlo's win Lea Mocher and Anthea Weiland rounded out the rotation for Menlo. Milana Hrudka would also be assessed a victory thanks to an OUAZ forfeit.

The Oaks have been unstoppable throughout the conference portion of their season with eight straight victories. The next opponent on the docket will be Jessup University at the Warriors home court up in Rocklin. The playoffs are right around the corner and this could be one of the last opportunities for Menlo to get a few rounds of play in before the "win or go home" situations arise!
