10 Womens Wrestlers Earn All-American Status After Advancing to Day Two of NAIA Championship Tournament

JAMESTOWN, ND. -- Menlo Women's Wrestling competed in day one of the NAIA National Championship Tournament inside Harold Newman Arena on Friday. The Oaks qualified 12 wrestlers after taking the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship Tournament Title including 4 individual Champs. Of the 12 qualifiers, 10 of them remain alive through day one giving Menlo 1st place as a team with 111 points. 3 Oaks are in the Championship brackets with 7 still battling in the Consolation brackets. The 10 Oaks advancing have earned All-American status and will have the opportunity to climb up the National podium! Head Coach Michael Ayala emphasized that, "...this moment shows that we are deep. It shows that we are deep and that it doesn't matter if we are on the front or the back side, we are trying to win". Action resumes on Saturday, March 9th at 8am PST for the Semifinal matches!
