Jack Stark, Senior from North London, England, is continuing to leave his mark in the Menlo community. Stark, who is no rookie when it comes to tournament play, came into this tournament with a different mindset than most. Fully aware of what he is capable of, Stark came out and finished off the final tournament of the Fall season shooting just one under par through 54 holes of play. These numbers posted by Stark were enough to secure him the first place award for the tournament. In the final round, Stark posted a score of 69. Going three under par, Stark logged seven total birdies on his scorecard, with a nine hole team low score of a 32. After the tournament, Coach Ryan Stefko said, "Jack stayed patient throughout every shot of the round. He didn't let his emotions get the best of him and truly made the most of his opportunities. He's been playing well lately and transferred that to the tournament." In addition to winning the tournament outright individually, the Menlo Men's Golf team also won the tournament having the lowest team score of five over par through three rounds of play.
It was a friendly competition for Menlo as they swept the board of the top four positions individually; but Stark was the front runner. After the conclusion of the tournament, Director of Golf Mike Givens said to Stark, "This was well deserved; you worked hard, and you earned it."
