Beaumont, CA- Both of Menlo's Golf programs spent the past three days in Beaumont teeing off at the Bulldog Invitational. It was a strong field filled with multiple plenty of familiar rivals such as UC Santa Cruz and Hope International. The Oaks were led by top 20 individual finishes on both the men's and women's teams.
Oaks in the Top 20
The men were led once again by Jack Stark who was coming off a 6th place finish at last week's tournament in Sonoma. Stark would tie for 20th place out of 80 contestants shooting +6 over par while playing his most consistent golf during the young season. Across all three days he would score 74 on each day of competition. The men would also have two other players finish in the top 40 with Nicolas-Guy Landry tied for 37th and Tej Gangavarapu tied for 39th place.
The women's team competed in a field of 55 individuals and were led by Holly Obermuller's 15th place finish with a total score of 154. As a team the Oaks played very consistently with every player finishing no worse than 33rd as an individual. The team's scoring ranged 154 through 164. Sakshi Mehta went on to post the second best score of the day for the Oaks with a round one score of 82 and a round two score of 80.
