Atherton, CA-The school year may be winding down but Menlo Cheerleading is excited to announce the incoming addition of eight new Oaks! With coach and director Kaitlyn Denning at the helm Menlo secured a State Championship as well as an appearance at the National Championships held in Anaheim. With new recruits on the way the program will look to build on a great inaugural competition season!
New Faces of Menlo Cheerleading
Menlo is happy to announce that the following athletes will be joining the program:
Hailee Hartman- Tracy, CA
Peyton Hensley- Menifee. CA
Catcher Sawyer- Kenilworth, IL
Natalee Ban- Atwater, CA
Emma Blais- Atascadero, CA
Xiadani Hernandez- Lake Barrington, IL
Lilyanna Pimentel- Galt, CA
Sabina Huipio- San Mateo, CA
While a majority of the incoming athletes will be freshman, Sabina Huipio is a junior transfer locally from the College of San Mateo. Peyton Hensley comes to the Oaks from Murrieta Valley High School where she was a varsity captain on the STUNT team. While there she helped lead them to two CIF State second place finishes and an eight place finish at nationals.
Natalee Ban also brings postseason experience having helped Buhach Colony High School win a 2023 CCC Stunt Championship. Lastly, Xiadani Hernandez Martinez was both an all-conference and state qualifier while at Barrington High School.
When asked about her newest athletes coach Denning said: " "I am confident we will be starting off this season strong with this new class of recruits. I can't wait to see what new dynamic they bring to the program."Â
The school year may be coming to a close but as it stands the upcoming season for Menlo's cheerleading program looks to be a good one!
