The All-American senior from Moses Lake, Washington has been on a roll this season as he continues to demonstrate resilience throughout the season, and showed it once again at the Roadrunner Open. Zamora began with a decision victory over Cal Poly and rebounded from a quarterfinal loss to pin three consecutive opponents in the consolation bracket. His road to third place included a thrilling decision victory over San Francisco State University in the consolation semifinals and a decisive 8-2 win over Oklahoma University in his third-place bout. The Roadrunner Open is notorious to be one of the most cut-throat tournament on the schedule, making this placement a notable achievement. Max’s previous results this season include 2nd at the Embry-Riddle Mile High Open, and a win over the #9 ranked NCAA Division II wrestler at 184lbs. Max is already looking to become an even more dominant force heading into the Oak’s next competitions.
