LONDON, ENGLAND – Former Menlo Wrestling standout Anthony Orozco continues to shine in his professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) career, improving his undefeated record to 7-0 on July 12 at Cage Warriors 192. Remarkably, Orozco accepted the fight on just nine days' notice and delivered a dominant performance.
Facing off against seasoned Brazilian welterweight Luan Duarte (14-10), Orozco — a two-time NAIA National Champion and 4x NAIA All-American — showcased his superior grappling and striking skills to control the pace and outcome of the bout. Orozco would sweep all three rounds on the judges' scorecards to earn a unanimous decision victory and maintain his perfect professional record.
In his post-fight interview, Orozco made his ambitions clear: he's only interested in two options moving forward, earning a shot in the UFC via Dana White's Contender Series or competing for the Cage Warriors Welterweight Championship.
Orozco's continued rise adds to the growing legacy of Menlo Wrestling alumni succeeding on the global stage. To follow Anthony's professional MMA career, use his LinkTree and Instagram for the latest updates!
