ATHERTON, CA – Menlo College proudly celebrated the outstanding academic and leadership achievements of its students at the 97th Annual Honors Convocation. As the 2024–25 academic year comes to a close, students were recognized for their dedication to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Menlo's student-athletes were once again well-represented, underscoring the College's commitment to holistic success.
Each spring, the Menlo College Academic Affairs department honors some of the brightest and most impactful students during this special ceremony. At this year's event, Menlo Athletics stood out as students were recognized for exceptional accomplishments in academics, leadership, and service. More than 80 Menlo student-athletes across 16 different sports were inducted, recognizing their academic achievements and leadership contributions.
Vice President for Athletics, Keith Spataro, a consistent presence at the Convocation, reflected on the significance of the event, saying, "The Honors Convocation represents what makes Menlo great and better each year. These students work tremendously hard to foster an engaging and enjoyable environment through vulnerability, curiosity, and gratitude. Congratulations to the students and to the College as a whole."
On April 25, four Menlo College business students competed in the FEI Challenge, presenting to a panel of three judges. Congratulations to Finance & Business Analytics student Ian Brusewitz, winner of the 2025 FEI Scholarship for $4,000. Ian will join FEI as a complimentary undergraduate member and participate in the newly launched Rising Stars Advisory Board.
The 2025 Honors Convocation reflected the vibrant spirit of Menlo College, where academic excellence, athletic commitment, and community leadership come together. Congratulations to all award recipients and honorees for their hard work, resilience, and embodiment of what it means to be an Oak!
