ATHERTON, CA - Menlo Women's Wrestling senior Kalila Shrive has been named the MPSF Wrestler of the Week following a dominant performance at the Menlo Women's Open at 180lbs.

Competing in her first tournament since returning from redshirt, Shrive wasted no time in her seasonal debut, opening the day with a 16-second pin. Shrive followed with a 10-0 technical fall in the quarterfinals to advance onto the semis. Shrive would go on to beat the #5 ranked wrestler in the NAIA, Kathryn Hingano of Southern Oregon 3-2 to reach the finals.

With the bracket's top spot on the line, Shrive ended her tournament run the same way she started, with another quick pin in the first round, this time against #1 ranked NAIA wrestler Ashley Lekas of Texas Wesleyan. Her performance not only helped the Oaks standout at the tournament, but also marked her return as one of the most dangerous wrestlers in the country.
