ATHERTON, CA - The Menlo Women's Wrestling program looks to be all geared up to take on yet another stacked schedule for the 2025-26 season, returning with a deep lineup of proven talent and a packed schedule with elite competition across the nation.

Redshirts Back in Action
Leading the charge for the Oaks is Louisa Schwab, who returns to competition after spending last season as a coach. She didn't miss out on competition during her time off, as she was able to represent Team USA at the 2025 Senior Pan-American Championships and earning a silver medal. Joining her is junior Kalila Shrive, who is coming off a redshirt after placing third at the 2024 NAIA National Tournament and claiming a silver medal at the 2025 U23 Pan-American Championships.

Senior Haley Narahara also returns to the squad from redshirting, bringing with her a third-place finish at the 2024 USMC Women's Nationals and All-American honors after finishing seventh at the 2024 NAIA Nationals. Rounding out the group is Alexandra Lopez, a 2024 NAIA All-American who placed 6th at the tournament and earned a 7th place finish at 68kg in the 2025 U.S. Open.

Incoming Firepower
The Oaks have added in a ton of promising new additions to the lineup starting with Renice Gonzalez, a freshman who placed 3rd at the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Girls Championships. She's joined fellow CIF standout Vania Victoria out of Chula Vista who earned a 5th place finish. Isabel Navarro, another CIF placer who finished 8th at the tournament. Rounding out the class is Tru Willis, a Washington native and 2024 state champion that brings depth and a winning experience to the roster.

The Oaks are also bolstering their roster with a few key transfers ready to make an immediate impact on the roster. Audrey Swiderek arrives from UW Oshkosh and is set to make her Menlo debut this season. Junior transfer Leilani Lazaro joins from Mt San Antonio, bringing momentum from her recent 32CA State Championship Title. The final transfer for the Oaks is Samira Mason from Delta College. Mason is also fresh off a 32CA State Title that adds more of a championship pedigree to the lineup.

Schedule Highlights
The season kicks off at home with the Oaks hosting the Menlo Women's Open on November 2 inside of Haynes-Prim Pavilion. From there, the program heads into one of the biggest tournaments of the year, the Connor Oppenheim Women's Open in Crete, Nebraska, on December 5. Just nine days after that, the Oaks will face their toughest competition at the North Central College Invitational in Naperville, Illinois, a tournament widely regarded as the deepest in the country with some of the top schools entering.

Heading into the New Year, the Oaks will travel to Canada for a dual against Simon Fraser on January 17 before returning to California for the MPSF Conference Championship in Costa Mesa on February 1. The regular season will conclude with a dual against the Raiders of Southern Oregon in Ashland, Oregon on February 18. With a handful of experienced redshirts coming back and hungry newcomers, the Oaks are set for a season that could redefine the program's trajectory.
